Fen Farm, Claypole
I am thrilled to be working on this exciting conversion of two redundant barns in Claypole, Lincolnshire.
The barns sit within the grounds of a Grade II listed Farmhouse that is being extensively refurbished after many years of neglect.
The barns contain many traditional features and materials that hark back to the historical agricultural use. There are a number of ventilation holes within the brickwork that will be retained and celebrated as part of conversion. The smaller of the two barns also still contains the pipework and gauges that would have been used for milking cows. It would be great to incorporate these features into the interior design of the conversion. The large barn has a beautiful roof structure that will be carefully restored and made structurally sound and incorporated as a stunning feature.
The project is currently at RIBA Stage 2 – Concept Design and the website will be updated to document the progress of this project.
